The Avonmouth Severnside Enterprise Area (ASEA) Ecology Mitigation and Flood Defence project is one of twelve shortlisted for the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) 2024 South West Civil Engineering Awards.
The scheme will provide 17km of flood defences, protecting 2,500 homes and businesses, as well as creating 80 hectares of new wetland habitat and improving walking routes around the Severn Estuary.
Following a second round of judging, including a site visit by a panel of industry leaders, the award winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in Bristol on Thursday 24 October 2024, hosted by Rob Bell, TV presenter and engineer.
