Earlier this year, the fledgling business was named New Civil Engineer’s ‘Technology Solutions Provider of the Year’ for 2025 at an awards ceremony in London, which is held annually to celebrate firms that are improving the construction and engineering industry through innovative equipment and products. Less than a month earlier, Flood Technology Group was also named ‘Innovator of the Year’ at the 2025 Park Home Champions Awards for its ground-breaking climate resilience projects at UK holiday and residential parks. The business has since been shortlisted for two more national technology awards, having been named a finalist in the ‘Best Use of Technology: Carbon Reduction in Construction and Management’ category, as well as the ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ category, at the TechFest Awards 2025.

After receiving a letter of congratulations from Keir Mather MP, who represents the Selby constituency in which Flood Technology Group is based, the team invited him to their head office at Great Heck to find out more about their pioneering work in the emerging field of flood adaptive technology. They also took the opportunity to show Mr Mather their groundbreaking Flood Adaptive Platform and FloodAdapt early warning system in action as part of a whistle-stop tour of their nearby manufacturing site at Snaith, just over the East Yorkshire border.

Andrew Parker, Managing Director and founder of Flood Technology Group, explained: “We know there’s huge demand for our flood adaptive technology as we’re already facing unprecedented demand from businesses in a broad range of different sectors across the UK and beyond. As a new but rapidly growing business, we’re keen to ramp up production by identifying new, larger manufacturing premises in the Selby area. Formed less the two years ago, Flood Technology Group has the potential to create hundreds of new jobs, boosting the local economy and putting this part of North Yorkshire at the very forefront of the drive to make our communities more resilient to climate change.”

Andrew added: “We were delighted when Keir reached out to us following our recent national award wins, in fact the letter of congratulations that he sent us takes pride of place on the wall in our head office. We followed this up by inviting him to come and learn more about our work, future-proofing homes, businesses, assets and infrastructure against the threat of climate change, and tell him about our exciting future growth and expansion plans.”

Keir Mather, MP, said: “It was great to visit Flood Technology Group to see the work happening locally to combat flooding in our area. As a Hull native and Selby’s representative, I know just how devastating flooding can be for a community. I look forward to supporting the work of Flood Technology Group in the future.”
