PFR construction company wins King's Award for Enterprise in Innovation.

Whitehouse Construction are delighted to announce it has been honoured with a King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation 2024. The awards celebrate the success of the most outstanding and innovative businesses in the UK. This year 252 organisations are to be recognised nationally.

In Whitehouses’ 47th year of trading, this prestigious award recognises their contribution to the Property Flood Resilience sector namely the research, design, and development of a Flood Resistant Domestic Door to better adapt the UKs housing stock to extremes of climate change.

Wholly designed and manufactured at their dedicated facility in Derby, a city renowned for its industrial and innovative heritage. Whitehouse are proud to be an exemplar of British Engineering, helping combat challenges climate change brings.

Whitehouse are sole supplier of Property Flood Resilience services to the Environment Agency within the Midlands region, alongside nationwide coverage for Risk Management Authorities, Water Companies and Insurers.

Years of investment and continual product development has enabled this recognition, and we are proud to represent Derbyshire and SME manufacturing whilst have a positive impact upon the UK’s climate adaptability. The story however does not stop here! Using our unique approach as a blueprint we are evolving the product range with the aim of replicating any domestic door in the UK, alongside creating a wet testing centre in Derby facilitating British Standard Certification.”
